Terms of use

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms cover the HurriMap app for phones and tablets, its Apple Watch and Wear OS apps and widgets, and this website (together, "HurriMap"). By using HurriMap you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use HurriMap.

Information sources

HurriMap displays forecasts, watches, warnings and other information published by the National Hurricane Center, the National Weather Service and other public agencies. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA, the National Weather Service, FEMA or any state or local government. Always follow the instructions of your local officials. If you are told to evacuate, go. In an emergency, call 911.

1. Using HurriMap

HurriMap is provided for general information. You may use it for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

2. Weather information and your safety

Forecasts are uncertain, and storms can change quickly. Information in HurriMap may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable, for example when a government source is late or down, when your device has no connection, or when a notification is not delivered by Apple, Google or your phone. Features such as "finish preparations by" times, scenarios, model tracks and storm surge risk are planning aids, not instructions or guarantees.

Do not rely on HurriMap as your only source of warnings or as the basis for decisions about your safety or property. Keep Wireless Emergency Alerts on, use a NOAA Weather Radio, and follow the National Weather Service and your local emergency officials.

3. HurriMap Pro subscriptions

We may change what Pro includes or its price. Price changes follow the App Store's and Google Play's rules for notifying you, and never apply to a period you've already paid for. Forecasts, watches and warnings, storm surge information, wind arrival times, NHC advisories and My place will stay free.

4. App stores

If you downloaded HurriMap from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms are between you and us, not Apple. If you downloaded it from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply. Where those terms and ours conflict, the store's terms govern for apps obtained from that store.

5. Data and third-party services

HurriMap relies on data and map services from government agencies and other providers, which remain subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

6. Our content

The HurriMap app, name, logo, design and website content belong to us. Public-domain government data shown in HurriMap remains public domain. You may share screenshots and images you create with HurriMap's share feature.

7. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what HurriMap collects and how to remove it.

8. No warranty

HurriMap is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, timeliness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that HurriMap or its notifications will be uninterrupted, error-free or delivered on time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of life, injury, property damage, data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use HurriMap or from any information it shows or fails to show. Our total liability for any claim relating to HurriMap is limited to the amount you paid us for HurriMap Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

10. Changes and ending

We may update HurriMap, add or remove features, or stop offering it. We may update these terms; when we do, we'll change the date above, and continuing to use HurriMap means you accept the new terms. You can stop using HurriMap at any time by deleting it and cancelling any subscription.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your home country requires otherwise.
